Worship Service Overview

On the First Sunday after Christmas, the congregation gathered to reflect on the enduring meaning of Christmas beyond the holiday itself. The service focused on the boundless, unconditional love of God, comparing it to the unwavering love of a grandmother, always welcoming, always present, always full of grace.

The liturgy emphasized that Christmas is not just a moment in time but an eternal truth—that God’s love has always existed, from the beginning of creation to now and forevermore. The sermon, presented in the form of a heartfelt letter from a fellow pastor, reminded the congregation that Christmas is about peace, unity, and justice, rather than division or political strife.

Throughout the service, the congregation sang beloved Christmas hymns, shared in prayers for those in need, and recommitted themselves to being instruments of peace and love in the world. The benediction sent everyone forth with the encouragement to carry the joy of Christ’s birth into the new year.
